if you’ve had long-term Covid (or as it’s been dubbed ‘long Covid’), like me, you’ll know about the overwhelming tiredness, the
headaches, lack of sleep, panic attacks and many other symptoms that can seem unexpected that come with this virus. It isn’t a 2 week experience for many.
People who have been on the course found the experiences of other people who’ve had Covid very useful.
And then, of course, there’s the physical and emotional benefits too –
We are holding a series of taster sessions throughout April and early May 2021. book a place on the online introduction session here.
I’ve experienced the positive effects from taking this programme, as have others, which is why I honed and refined it to share the benefits and help you.
If you are suffering from Long-COVID but are located outside of the Hyndburn area, then please get in to touch to see how we can help you.

The Programme is for you if you’ve had Coronavirus and are experiencing symptoms that are limiting what you can do.
It’s not a quick fix – it’s not intended to be – but it’s intended to give you relief from the symptoms you’re experiencing, and give you a sense of control and empowerment about your own recovery.
Please always talk to your doctor if your symptoms are this serious.
You can see examples of people who have been through the programme to read about their stories. You will also benefit from being with like-minded people. People who can relate to what you’re going through – who know that the symptoms don’t end after 2 weeks. This makes for great support and understanding, both during the programme
Eleanor
"I learnt how to ‘send messages to myself’ to help me slow down. The words Karen uses in the meditation stayed with me and helped me with coping strategies and to manage my symptoms better. "
Jane
" I was surprised how the meditations helped with breathing. I also found my levels of concentration improved and my sleep patterns. "
Those on the programme have reported feeling more positive about their health and recovery too.
"Praising my body instead of cursing it. Having peer support. "
"I did not expect to get such dramatic improvements. I have renewed confidence that I have the tools to recovery fully. "
Others who’d had a different experience of Covid with underlying health problems, were getting relief.
Alongside having experienced Covid 19, and knowing first-hand how it side-swipes you, your life and the ‘normal’ you, I have various other qualifications.
In my 20 years of experience in work, I’ve spent five years designing and running meditation groups, I’ve also been a therapist and worked in education for adult health and social care.
I set up the CIC, Brain Health Breakthrough, in 2018 and work as tirelessly as I can to help people who’ve had a brain injury enjoy life. Sometimes that’s with work experience, sometimes that’s coping with the impact a brain injury has.
I extended this work to help unpaid carers as they also experience issues that meditation can successfully treat. During this time I contracted Covid, and have been investigating how to manage this ever since; honing the meditations and approach to create the 8 week course you see here.

I have a BA Hons in Education and Professional Development – in terms of why that is relevant, I know about the best ways to learn and teach.
I’m also pretty savvy and results-focused. This is about impact and results for me, not something ‘nice and fluffy’ – it has to work.
