This porgramme was run from July-December 2020 sponsored by awards for all. We delivered over 60 hours of coaching to 10 unpaid Carers. This allowed unpaid carers to let go of mental health issues, depression, isolation. improve sleep, putting themselves first. Oh not forgetting career opportunities and confidence.
This programme ran in July 2020 facilitated by Karen Haworth and Hannah Beko. Allowed unpaid carers to give themselves some space, to switch off to focus on their own health and well-being and create a path forward. This programme has been sponsored by the community lottery fund
"I had skills and knowledge but did not know how to utilise them. Karen taught me to be more positive in a negative situation, change mood and embrace a new perspective each morning. This allowed me to have a different view on the day and changed how I reacted to difficult situations. We had fun and giggles too! "
.
"Since working with Karen, I find I am more confident about who I am, I value my rights and have much more personal integrity and self-trust than before. After the sessions I was able to use the energy to heal trauma from my childhood and be in touch with my adult-self.
As a practitioner, I felt equality when working together with Karen. She listens as well as teaches and guided me in the right direction for my personal journey. She is reliable and patient and committed to the journey of each individual.
She sent a reminder for all our sessions, which was reassuring. She has adapted to the use of the technology and keeps in touch by sending messages and calls in WhatsApp instead of zoom and email – which keeps things simple.
I am now optimistic, hopeful, confident and secure in a brighter future. "
"Before I started working with Karen, I had anxiety and a loss of confidence and not able to put attention in my life. At the time I was finding it difficult to sleep which was impacting my health and wellbeing.
I found Karen’s non- judgemental approach and active listening has enabled me to take a great weight off my shoulders by vocalising about issues that bothered me. I was able to put my worries behind me and my sleep improved, which has been good. Karen is approachable and I am now more positive and calmer relaxed."
"Professional and carer with competing caring needs.
Karen’s varied methods have been so useful for me - a combination of coaching and counselling, she is a very trustworthy person to work with.
Before I started working with Karen, I felt anxious and I didn’t know how to balance my life with my competing caring responsibilities and personal life. The coaching has helped me unpack the clutter in my mind and allowed me to feel calmer and in control of my situation. I now find it much easier to make decisions. Overall, it has been a really positive experience - Karen you have been really helpful. Thank you. "
“I have had 3 sessions with Karen and found them very beneficial. They covered three areas, sleep, low mood and performance. As follow up with Karen, I have 3 meditations I can continue to use. As a result of Karen I have noticed an improvement in all areas. I recently had to give an online music concert and found the performance meditation helped me prepare and give an engaging performance that was well received. I will continue to use all the meditations. “
"I am now so much calmer when faced with challenges. I was anxious before the sessions which effected my mental health, with pains in my chest. The chest pain was gone after just one session and I feel a physical change in my body and able to manage feelings of overwhelm. The change has been amazing!
I am now able to take opportunities that, before the sessions with Karen, I was unable to move forward with. I can dare to dream, and I feel like my self-confidence has grown so much.
I want to take this new journey and embrace it! I am feeling much more optimistic about the future.
What I like about working with Karen is that she sent a variety of meditations to me that I could use depending on what I needed day to day. I am in such a better place now thanks to her unique method. Thank you for the guidance and support - I could have never done this on my own. “
