We have been kindly sponsored by ‘Awards for All’ to provide online peer led support for those with brain injury experience in the Greater Manchester and Lancashire areas. This group is also open to people in the U.K..
We are now running an online weekly support group on Thursdays at 1pm. Join to build on self-confidence through positivity and valued contribution. Support combines peer support, practical strategies and mindfulness.
We understand some of the frustrations people face in the local community when living with the effects of brain injury. Meet one of our volunteers, Gaz Stanton, our Volunteer and Mentor Co-ordinator, who is passionate about helping others who are currently facing isolation at home.

This course may be right for you if you feel you want to gain new skills to develop your self- confidence, in order to take up new opportunities.
This pilot group will be a small group and will give you the opportunity to be with other people in a similar situation who understand you.

Content of course
Week 1: Introduction, get to know each other, overview of what confidence is and how you can boost the confidence within yourself.
Access to resources
Week 2: Develop strategies and skills to help you gain confidence and switch your mental and physical health and well-being.
Week 3: Review and recap. Looking at what skills, knowledge and learning would benefit your own self-development.
Week 4: Develop an action plan for your own next steps by identifying your skills and future plans.
