Transforming adversity into resilience.
Brain Health Breakthrough CIC was established in 2018 and is an experience-led organisation. Since 2019, we have supported individuals with long-term invisible disabilities who are disadvantaged by health inequalities, including those experiencing the impacts of brain injury and energy-limiting conditions such as Long COVID and ME/CFS.
Our work unites communities by building strong relationships and reducing social isolation and exclusion. We deliver high-quality training and practical peer support, providing a safe space to turn and feel genuinely understood with tailored interventions that meet individual needs.
We aim to bring communities together by building strong relationships, reducing social isolation, and encouraging individuals to participate actively in their wider communities.
We incorporate a unique blend of peer support, education, training, online relaxation sessions and one-to-one support.
Using coping strategies to support mental health and well-being, we support our community in promoting positive choices and a sense of hope and optimism for the future.
We stand by individuals facing long-term illnesses, such as brain injury, Long Covid, and ME/CFS. Our community members are not just recipients of support but integral advocates for their needs. They play a crucial role in our planning and delivery, and we are deeply committed to supporting them in advocating for their needs to employers, health professionals, friends, and family.
