Craft Project: BHB Community Banner

The project has been in the planning stage since March 2025, we invited our community to share design ideas and contributions. This project is intended to be a positive, creative activity where members can come together, enjoy making something meaningful, and celebrate the strengths of our community.

Contributions might include stitched words and phrases, crochet, knitting, or other craftwork — as much as your imagination allows. Everyone is welcome to take part. If you don’t feel able to contribute directly, you can still send in a word, phrase, or idea to be included in the final piece.

Jane will bring the project to face-to-face groups and events, and members can also bring or post contributions.

We’re still inviting contributions to our collaborative textile artwork that reflects the Long COVID community’s shared journey.
🧵 Submission deadline: Friday 29th August
🖼 Exhibition: October at The Bureau, Blackburn (part of the British Textile Biennial)

Moments of Hope: Our Journey in Photos

Wellbeing in the Woods

Donate Now

By request from our community, we ran a Wellbeing in the Woods session this year. The event provided a chance for people to connect with nature, support their wellbeing, and enjoy time together in a calm, restorative environment.

🕐 Time: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

🎨 Activities
We’ve planned a relaxed and creative afternoon with a choice  of nature-inspired activities for you to enjoy at your own pace:

🌈 God’s Eyes – A colourful, mindful weaving craft (see attached photo)
🪵 Stick Whittling – Connect with nature through simple wood carving
🧶 Nordic Braiding – A calming handcraft (you can check out a video of Stacey and me doing this on our Instagram, or find tutorials online)
🌿 Hammocks – Take a break and relax among the trees

There’s something for everyone, whether you want to get hands-on or just enjoy the peaceful woodland setting.

🍽️ Food & Drinks:
We’ll be serving a warm and welcoming selection of refreshments, including:
☕ Tea, coffee, herbal teas, and hot chocolate
🍕 Pizza wraps, freshly cooked over the fire — gluten-free wraps will also be availableYour donation helps support our organization's mission to make a positive impact in the community. We appreciate your generosity and support!
